Modern Molding Quality Department
At Modern Molding we don't just have a Quality Policy, we work at implementing this policy every day.
Our team conducts weekly Continual Improvement meetings with representatives from each department. This team works to improve our process controls and carefully tracks areas slated for improvement. The team is responsible for assigning and implementing internal corrective actions, as well as corrective actions requested by our customers.
Modern Molding is ISO 9001:2000 Registered. Management is actively involved in implementing the system and reviews recommendations from the continual improvement team on a weekly basis.
Each shift has a quality inspector. The inspector is responsible for start-up, in-process, final and end-of-run inspections. Each part we produce has a Specific Inspection Procedure that the quality inspector follows. Measurements of critical dimensions as well as part weight are recorded for each run.
Every
new part produced by Modern Molding undergoes a complete first article, noting
results for 100% of the dimensions in our customer's part print. These
dimensions are recorded utilizing our Coordinate Measuring Machine.
